Properties Tab

The Properties tab (shown above) contains three major sections providing fields to help better define the properties of the P&ID:
  • Component Information: This section contains general information about the document and where it is defined. It is for information purposed only and cannot be edited.
  • General Info: Provides Description and Alias fields for information on the P&ID.
  • Document Properties: Contains fields allowing you to provide further information to identify the document.

Schema Tab

The Schemas tab lists all of the schemas that are loaded for the PID drawing. This list is for informational purposes only and cannot be edited.

Title Sheets

Select a border from drop down list in the Title Sheets tab to apply to the drawing. As a border is selected, a preview is displayed in the window. With this option you are also able to change a border on an existing drawing by simply selecting a new border from the list.

The fields in the title block are populated with the values that you enter in the corresponding fields in the Properties tab of the PID Document dialog. Any changes made in the property fields will automatically be updated in the title block.

Note: A known limitation when in the DWG mode is the title sheet will not auto-populate the title block with the entered document values as it does in DGN mode.

Settings Tab

SettingDescription

PBS Maintenance

You can select associated items for removal from plant breakdown structure properties that are unused in the document.

If the DGN is connected to PlantSight then first use Tag Delete command in Engineering Data Manager. Otherwise the PBS Items will not be removed from OpenPlant PID drawing

Select the value(s) to remove from the list and click Remove.

The Remove button is enabled once an item(s) is selected for removal.
